Flight For Life
Western North Carolina isn’t just where we fly – it’s become our home. And we will not abandon our neighbors
Flight for Life's mission is to provide swift, direct delivery of critical supplies to communities isolated by flooding in the wake of natural disasters. Through our helicopter-based response efforts, we aim to alleviate suffering, preserve life, and facilitate recovery in the most hard-to-reach areas affected by these devastating events.
Brian Clark of Cloud Wan Solutions and Danny Matthews of Carolina Helicopters formed a new 501 C3 called Flight for Life in the wake of Hurricane Helene. We are dedicated to continuing to support relief and recovery efforts here in the Western North Carolina Mountains as the Cold Front is moving in and people are still stranded and without power, heat, or sustainable shelter.
The western mountains of North Carolina lie shattered in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Splintered homes, tangled power lines, and impassable roads have isolated survivors in a landscape of devastation. But amidst the ruin, a lifeline endures – the whirring blades of Flight for Life. Our helicopters are the only hope for those stranded in the ruins. With roads destroyed, bridges gone, and the rivers swollen, we’re delivering life-saving supplies – water, medicine, food. Our crews brave treacherous skies to reach makeshift neighborhoods, unloading cargo onto desperate hands reaching up from the wreckage. For the injured, we may be the only means of a way out. Our paramedics and nurses teamed up with us could mean the difference between life and death. Every second counts, and every mission is a race against time. But we can’t do it alone.
The demand is overwhelming, the need desperate. Fuel, maintenance, medical supplies – the costs of this relief effort are mounting by the hour. That’s where you come in. Your donation will keep our helicopters in the air, delivering hope to those who’ve lost everything. It will put life-saving medicine in our crews’ hands, and food in the bellies of the starving. Most of all, it will be a lifeline, a beacon of promise in the darkest hour.
Hurricane Helene has taken so much. But with your help, we can take back something more powerful – the will to endure, the strength to rebuild. Donate now and be part of the rescue. Be Flight for Life.
