Keep Flight for Life in the Air

Mission Statement

Flight for Life's mission is to provide swift, direct delivery of critical supplies to communities isolated by flooding in the wake of natural disasters. Through our helicopter-based response efforts, we aim to alleviate suffering, preserve life, and facilitate recovery in the most hard-to-reach areas affected by these devastating events.

Flight for Life

Flight for Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit born in the wake of Hurricane Helene, founded by Brian Clark and Danny Matthews to serve the Western North Carolina mountains and beyond. Our mission: to deliver urgent relief and long-term recovery to communities isolated by disaster, using helicopters to reach the unreachable.

When floods, hurricanes, or wildfires cut off roads and strand families, we step in. Our crews bring life-saving supplies—food, water, medicine, and critical support—directly to those who need it most. For the injured and vulnerable, we provide safe transport and medical care when no one else can get through. Every flight is a chance to save a life, restore hope, and rebuild community.

Why partner with Flight for Life?
Your support keeps our helicopters in the air and our teams on the ground. Corporate sponsors and philanthropic partners make it possible for us to expand our fleet, cover urgent fuel and maintenance needs, and be ready for the next call—whether it comes tomorrow or next season. We’re looking for partners who want to make a real, measurable difference in disaster response and recovery.

If your company or foundation would like to discuss a major gift or sponsorship, we invite you to contact us directly:

  • Brian Clark – Brian@flightforlife.net
  • Danny Matthews – Danny@flightforlife.net

Together, we can be the lifeline for those left stranded by disaster. Join us, and help keep hope in the air.
